Frequently Asked Questions

Referrals, Fees & Rebates

We make every effort to keep the cost of care down.  Fees for consultation are provided when booking online or via phone.  To assist this effort, you are expected to pay in full after each session.  Payment is accepted by credit card, credit debit, and cash payments.  

MindZen Psychology is not a bulk billing practice. However, with a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP, paediatrician, or psychiatrist, you may be eligible to receive Medicare rebated appointments for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.


It is the client’s responsibility to disclose how many sessions have been used under a Mental Health Care Plan.  If the client has used more than 10 sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan, the client is responsible for payment of the additional sessions and will not be entitled to a Medicare rebate.


Private Health fund rebates are also available. It is recommended that you check with your health fund prior to your first visit.


Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 48-hours notice of cancellation is required to avoid a late cancellation fee.  It is the client’s responsibility to remember their appointment.  Reminder text messages are sent as a courtesy to clients about their upcoming appointments.  If you are unable to provide 48 hours advanced notice you may be charged at $110.00 fee.  Less than 24 hours notice of cancellations will be charged the full service fee. Cancellation fees may be waived in exceptional circumstances.
